Elliot H. Brown

Elliot practices in all areas of the entertainment field, emphasizing theater, motion pictures, television, and book publishing. 

He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America, Super Lawyers New York Metro edition and Chambers USA, which describes him as one of the city’s seven first-ranking "leading individuals" in Media and Entertainment: Theatre practice.

He is a recipient of the ABA Forum Committee on Entertainment and Sports Law’s Ed Rubin Award for exemplary leadership and service and the Excellence in Theater Award from the UJA Theater Division for philanthropic leadership and service.

A former reporter for United Press International, Elliot authored Screen to Stage: Hollywood Movies Sing on Broadway and Securities Regulations: Federal Laws Governing Theatrical Offerings. He also co-wrote with Dan Wasser A Practical Guide to Theatrical Financing.

Elliot has taught at Columbia University, Cardozo School of Law, the Audentes University in Tallinn, Estonia and recently guest lectured at the Cheung Leong Graduate School of Business in Beijing, China.
