Julie Angell

Julie has a broad-based practice advising clients in film, theater, television, digital media, advertising and other innovative industries on a full range of entertainment and corporate matters.

She counsels producers across all media on financing, rights acquisition, production and exploitation. She also represents talented individuals, including writers, directors, artists, and on-air television and news professionals. Drawing on her background in corporate law, she advises media-driven businesses on joint ventures, partnerships, and acquisitions. She is routinely engaged by senior media executives to negotiate employment agreements.

Julie is a Super Lawyers New York Metro “Rising Star” (2016-2018) in the field of Entertainment & Sports. She often appears as an expert at industry events, including the Sundance Film Festival, South by Southwest and the Bushwick Film Festival. She is a member of New York Women in Film and Television.

Julie was previously an attorney with Frankfurt Kurnit Klein & Selz, PC, and before that, at Torys LLP practicing international corporate law. Before law school, Julie was an account supervisor at Edelman, where she provided strategic marketing advice to some of the world's top consumer brands.
